TSM CHARITY GOLF PRESENTS RM35,000 TO FORMER NATIONAL ATHLETES
SHAH ALAM, Dec 4 (Bernama) – Seven former national athletes who contributed to the country’s sporting glory received a total of RM35,000 from the Tan Sri Muhyiddin (TSM) Charity Golf here, today.
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin made the presentation on the final day of the 6th TSM Golf Challenge which was held at the Glenmarie Gold andCountry Club.
Muhyiddin, who is the founder of the Charity challenge, gave out RM5,000 each to former footballers Yahaya Jusoh, 59, Loi Loon Teik, 66, Muhammad Asyraf Anbalagan Abdullah, 44, and Baharin Khamis, 62. Former weightlifters Samah Ali, 57, and Rameli Manaf, 54, and former track athlete S.Karunanithi, 44, also received RM5,000 each.
Muhyiddin then presented RM50,000 to the Islamic Aid Malaysia Flood Funds – Utusan to assist flood victims throughout the country.
TSM Charity Golf is a non-profit organisation which was formed in 2003 with the objective of carrying out charitable activities and developing local golf talent.
